Hi,

This is a tentative feature list for the next version of murgaLua, it'll be
better tested and developed than 0.5.5 as I'll have internet access as
of tonight and a home as of next week :-)

The feature list (provisional), is as follows :

  • Fl_Table support, simple sortable grids for now.
  • Sound (!!), through SDL_Mixer (probably dynamically loaded on all platforms).
  • A few bug fixes from the last relase :-(
  • cinvoke will never make it, but I found something more portable (but less flexible).
  • Fltk fixes and update to v1.1.x-r5940 (as 1.1.8 never seems to arrive).
  • The murgaLua compiler :-)

Please, suggestions and feedback on this thread.

SDL_Mixer was chosen because it has a sensible API, mixing, works
well on all the platforms and it's small ... It also supports ogg and
mp3 through optional external libs and is in most Linux distros :-)

No existing Lua binding, but it'll be easy to write (I hope).

Cheers
JohnM

Hi John,
what about full serial device access (like luaX) for controlling external machines, like Microprocessor-Boards, Routers and Switches ?
I'd like to use murgaLua as GUI-Frontend for headless processors Big Grin

Thanks

Christian

I vote for serial, too!
Re : Serial support ...

OK :-)

I am porting a couple of things from luaX already ...

So I'll have a look at their serial support too.

Cheers
