Any chance of including this in murgalua? I'm not a big fan of java, but you have to admit it's an industry standard and there are cross-platform compiled libraries available for just about anythin...

Most of you know that lua throws a conniption when you try to concatenate a nil value. Often, it's not a big deal to check for a nil value first. But I've got bitten in the rear end more than once w...

I looked at metatables and couldn't get them to do anything right. I did read a lot about how great and wonderful and powerful and cool metatables are. I must be a moron as I couldn't get a single e...

I have something like this in a loop i=string.find(string, lookfor, icur, true) In some cases, it seems that i is being set to 1 when a match is found at the end of the string, which caused...

I've got programs that do simple inserts and updates on a single table. It all works fine if only one program is running at a time. I get the "database is locked" on the nrows iterator over a select...

db:busy_timeout might do the trick. It looks like the default value is zero, meaning it doesn't wait at all if there is a busy condition. I haven't been able to try it yet.

I'm missing something here. This script executes an xpdf command. I downloaded xpdf software for windows and there is no xpdf.exe. There are several other executables like pdftotext.exe.
