Xavante

http://www.keplerproject.org/xavante/

Looks to me like something that could serve as example.
The dependancies it needs are all in murgaLua:

Xavante Core
* Lua 5.1.x
* Copas 1.1.1
* LuaSocket 2.0.2
File Handler (optional)
* LuaFileSystem 1.3.0

RE: Xavante

I looked at this many moons ago, before murgaLua had lfs, and i thought it would be too complicated to use without installing Lua proper (I still don't understand how to build and load modules for murgaLua). Now, since murgaLua includes all necessary modules, it's worth another look.

I'm a big fan of lighttpd, though, so I'm only mildly interested in looking at other web servers.
